Favorite map sets are easy to rename. But for workspaces, because the workspace name is embedded into the file system (instead of using one "layer of abstraction" ,) they become a headache to rename and there isn't even a button to do it.
Next time the workspace name should not be directly embedded into the file system. A set of numbers should be used and then they would connect to the workspaces whose names could then be easily changed.
It is very common for one to name a workspace something and then realize that the name isn't exactly perfect. But by that time it's got a lot of files piled up there. So it would be a shame to throw them away just to change the name.

Yes you're right there is no "rename workspace" button.
But you should be able to rename a workspace in just a few steps:
1. In the app, select the default workspace, and close the app.
2. Using your file manager, rename the workspace folder to what you want.
3. Restart the app, and choose your newly named workspace.

Re: So easy to rename a map set, so hard to rename a workspace
That's good to know.
If you have some spare time maybe also implement that functionality in the app itself. Although it might require the user to restart the app but that would be fine.
Actually this is still asking for trouble. Because as we know sometimes some characters are illegal in file names etc.
So it would be always better if workspace names for were kept in a separate table or not directly used for file names.

By the way, AlpineQuest 2.3.5 / OfflineMaps 3.12 now allow to rename workspaces from the app.
