Hello, what's the use of tool Maps & Layers > Select and safe area?

From what I understand it can only download single zoom level (current zoom level) of map area, but app already download and cache visible zoom area as you browse and navigate the map.

What's the added benefit of using Swlect and safe area tool?

Hi,
No you can store multiple zoom levels at once, and for a larger area, this is all the point.

Thanks because it was not really obvious what zoom slider does when you download area thought it's just the same as zoom (+) in and zoom out (-) buttons. Now I understand how it works.
