Displayed placemarks

Post by alexlong »

Hi, François.

Do you think it is a good idea to add some more features to Displayed placemarks window?
1. Find a displayed placemark in a list
2. Sort diaplayed placemarks

At some point I came across the fact that I needed to find a certain placemark in the displayed placemarks list. In this list, I had about 100 placemarks that I put following the route. I was having some difficulties with the search, so I thought it might be worth adding a "search" as well as "sorting"?

Sorry again. This sort is both for Placemarks and for Displayed Placemarks. Is it real to do a separate Displayed Placemarks sort?

Hi Alex,
You can already sort the items in this list: go at the beginning of the list, and at the right of "Display placemark" click on the menu icon, then choose the "Sort" you want. You can also sort by type, meaning first all points, then all sets, etc.
You can also search among displayed items, use the "Search a location" tool, then in the search format choose "Displayed placemarks". The app will move the map over the item you have searched.
I hop this can help

This sort is both for Placemarks and for Displayed Placemarks
The sort you choose here is only for displayed placemarks. It does not change the sort settings you chose in the placemarks explorer.

Thanks.
Maybe it's still better to add a "filter" mode in the form of a button so that you can immediately see the result while typing a word?
This is now done in the Placemarks section.
Upper right corner, three vertical dots.
I would then suggest a separate button in the window Displayed Placemarks

But what's wrong with the existing "Search displayed placemark" tool?

It works, but it seems to me that the scheme that is now implemented in the placemark search will be much more convenient. The scheme is called filter.

In this case, I enter some combination of letters, and I immediately see all the placemarks that have this combination.
For example, I'm going camping and I've put 150 placemarks on the screen in advance. I need to find placemark(s) that have, for example, "ener" in their name.
I click on the button find, which I wrote about above, enter the phrase "ener", and only those that have "ener" in the name remain in the Displayed placemark window.

Ok I understand.
I'll try to add this, but I need to find a suitable location for the filter text field...
