How to force distance to miles rather than feet..

Hi, I have distance units set to imperial eg feet/miles. When I hike it displays '000s of feet, rather than a part of a mile. Is there any way to get my mileage only displayed, eg. 0.89miles rather than 4,750ft? Thanks.

Isn't the Imperial distance unit with "deci. miles" what you want?
