custom icons from letterboard?

Hi,
Using an icon from the alphabet board to give name to a waypoint I get a normal waypoint+ on display. The icon reacts normal to zooming in/out. Seems to work as any other in app icon.
Is it possible to create:
>export as>custom icon,
straight from display? This would avoid having to fiddle around with filemanagers, not for all a rewarding thing to do.
Just a thought.
