Tapping the dot at the center of the screen gives us choices about making a target, jumping to target,
and deleting target, etc.
But please add a way to temporarily hide the (line to) a target!
Let's say we like having that line from the center of the map to the waffle store.
But a friend wants to see where the bagel store is. So we center the map on the bagel store and show them our phone.
But they see the embarrassing line to the waffle store from the bagel store and ask us, "So you actually like waffles! Ah ha!".
Sure, before we show them our phone, we simply could hit the X and eliminate the embarrassing line to the waffle store.
But wouldn't it be better to also have a way to just hide it, so we don't have to go locating the waffle store all over again later to restore it?

Hide target
Re: Hide target
Day two:
We now like bagels. But the Chief of Police calls and tells us to investigate a third unnamed breakfast food.
During our investigation we would like our screen clean of junk like targets.
But later we will want our target back visible.
Sure: "Just make a waypoint."
But you see breakfast foods are not that important.
Our tastes change everyday.
All we want is to make our throwaway single target visible / invisible.
No emotional ties involved needing a waypoint.

Re: Hide target
Hi,
In the next update you'll have two new options:
- There will be a new "Set/remove target" long press map action. So you'll be able to set/unset the target just by long pressing the map;
- Workspaces will have their own displayed items and target. So you'll be able to select another workspace to hide the target of the current workspace.

No!
According to https://alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/workspaces
that means I will have to download all my maps again,
just to hide the target temporarily.
I.e., you are missing the point of my idea entirely.

Re: Hide target
I got your point, I just giving suggestions based on what it's possible to do with the app.
I meant that if you have something to hide just put it in an alternative workspace.

Re: Hide target
Hmmm, your way sounds five times more complicated.
And I just tried it: nine times more complicated!
So you might want to put my way on your wishlist of things to implement.
