Cleaning up from the measure tool

Post by jidanni »

It is easy to accidentally create
Measure 1
Measure 2
Measure 3
Etc.
But it is hard to figure out where they are, in order to delete them.

Measurements are saved in the "Unsorted landmarks" folder.
But even if you delete them, the next one you create will be called "Measure 4".

That is an extremely far away place from the measure tool. Please make it accessible from within the measure tool itself.

Okay, today's adventure is: we enter the measure tool, and then we immediately regret entering the measure tool. And we hit the x button. Well this creates an error!

An additional adventure is: we enter the measure tool and we make some legs (line segments.) Okay now we finished looking at what we made and we want to erase the whole thing well, we hit the delete button several times having to erase one leg at a time. And then we finally are finished still it's going to leave some residue. You know what: there should be a way to just quit the whole thing without needing to hit the delete button several times. And the results should be we just are back where we started with a clean slate exiting the measure tool without leaving any residue (files or marks on the map.) Indeed, that's how the ruler works in Google Earth.

You can delete any item from the map, just select it, tap it's name and choose delete.

I cannot reproduce with the latest versions.
Did you delete the "Unsorted folder" manually?

You can click the close button to exit the measure tool, then delete the item from the map like any other item if you don't want to keep it.

If you only want to temporarily measure a distance, tap the screen center and choose "Set as target" instead of using the more complex mesure tool.

I didn't delete anything. I sent you the error message via the sending error tool. (But it said sending 0 errors.)
