How do I delete a route

I have a bunch of old routes displayed on the map which are getting in the way, how do I delete them?
I found an old topic than talked about deleting landmarks but Id prefer not to have to delete the landmarks one by one as there are over 200 points involved and anyway it referred to a non-existent page!

Must be held in a file somewhere so Can i delete that? Where is it?

Hi,

You click any item on the map, click on its name and "Undisplay" or "Delete".
Alternatively you can tap the placemarks menu -> Displayed placemarks to list all items displayed. From there you can remove from display any items or undisplay multiple items at the same time.
