Sometimes (more then once…) I happen to forget turning the track recorder off when I finish my hike so that statistics and details are affected by the route back home by car.
Is there any way to force a track finish mark at a certain point in a recorded track and forget about all recorded points afterwards?

Re: Forcing track finish to clean a track
Hi,
Yes you can: once the track recorder is stopped, display the track on the map.
Click anywhere on it, on its name and on "Edit points". Then click on the location where you want to split the track, select "Split here".
Click on the second part and "Delete" to delete it.
Let me know if you have any issues.

Hello,
I'm sometimes using this feature and it happend to me several times that the whole track got deleted. I assume I made a wrong manipulation but is there a way to recover it ?

Hi,
Unfortunately currently the only way is to copy/paste the track before editing to make a backup copy.
An undo button is in the wanted list but I don't know when it will be available.
However if you're sure to delete only one segment and you see the whole track deleted, that's a bug, so let me know.
