[closed] DEM -data is missing from the 60th parallel north and up

It seems that DEM-data is missing from the 60" Lattitude and up. This means that you can't use elevation in, Northen Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. Southern latitudes of the globe seems to fine. Is it supposed to be like this?

Yes it's supposed to be like this, see here: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/elevations
This is because SRTM data is not available beyond those latitudes.

The only way around is to use your own DEM data, as explained in the end of the help page.

Thanks, I found the elevation data I wanted.
Here is how I did:
If you want elevation data for Norway, Sweden or Finland you can download it here
https://data.opendataportal.at/dataset/dtm-europe
1. Choose country
2. Download DEM files (Download the whole diretory with all zip files) , chose the 1" files for best resolution
3. Unzip all the files so you get only get .hgt files
4. Place all the hgt files in /datastore/dem/ (as told here: https://www.alpinequest.net/en/help/v2/elevations)
5. Clear all old elevation data

You can already use the 1'' files in AQ, but I'll try to add the Norway, Sweden and Finland data to the automatically downloaded data. Other countries are already covered.

As an update, Sweden, Norway and Finland are now covered by the automatic elevation data download from the application.
