I love the maps that can be displayed on AlpineQuest when mixing layers especially now you can add the hill shading layer. I wanted to print out some larger map areas for walks but at the moment I think the only way to do that is by going to print map and the area shown is limited by the screen size. An option to save an area to an image would be brilliant if it were possible to include in the app.

As a separate mention I find that I keep changing the map display resolution by accident. I noticed it seems to happen if I'm scrolling around a map, if I press on one of the + or - symbols and then swipe it still registers a long press on the symbol even though it only was touched briefly at the start of the swipe.

I'm glad it's not only me that has the problem with the + and - symbols!! I too find that the resolution keeps adjusting itself when I accidentally linger too long in the bottom corner! Is there a way to switch off this functionality once you set it at the best for you, or at least increase the "long" part of the "long press"?

Hi,
For the save map to area the best solution right now is in fact to change the resolution. Long press the "-" button multiple times until you reach the max resolution then select the main menu -> Print map. This will be the larger map you can export as image.

Concerning the accidental use of the long-press zoom buttons, it will be turned off by default in the next update (already available as a beta) with a setting to activate it.

Best regards
