Yellow squares to represent stale tiles

Post by jidanni »

https://www.offline-maps.net/en/help/ma ... k-coverage mentions red squares, and green squares. However I have an idea, how about also adding yellow squares? Yellow squares would represent tiles that have already been downloaded but are already older than their expiration date.

If tile expiration date is actually a thing, then yes, I agree that this would be extremely useful. In my experience, however, the OSGB maps as hosted by BING, never appear to receive any tile updates. It could be that M$ never bother to apply map updates to BING, however, it is inconceivable that OSGB do not keep their maps up to date.

It will be done in next update.
The expiration date is the delay after which the app will ask the map server if a new version is available (as soon as displayed again).
It doesn't mean that a new version is available on the map server.
