[closed] Custom Maps takes a long time for loading !

HI

i need a solution for this issue
when i open RMaps Custom Maps in AQ it's take a long time for loading before display especially if the size of the map is large, above 2 GB for EX.

can u fix this problem in next versions ?

Hi,
It only takes a long time the first time you select a map. The following times it's fast (for the same map).
Be sure to use the last 2.0.3 version.

i know that only in first time
but i always change the custom maps and suffering from this problem

i think that the solution for this problem is easy

i will try soon version 2.0.3 ..
But I'm not sure that this issue is resolved in this version
please explain...

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no solution. When a new map is found, the application will load it's content to compute the covered area and it takes time...
For the new version, you can now configure custom button in the main menu. Click on "Option" and you'll be able to edit the content of the menu.

why i told u "the solution for this problem is easy" ..

because when i open a small map in AQ and save the map in favorites then i replace the small map with the big map with same name and same path in SD Card and re open the AQ will open the big map without any loading !

u can try it and u can fix it

What takes time is the loading of the area covered by the map. So if you select a map from another country, the application will ask you if you want to move over this country, otherwise you will have an empty white map.
Anyway I've changed this. The loading of the area is done in the background, so you can now select the map immediately. However if the map area is not known, then the application will stay over the current location, even if the map doesn't cover this location...
You can try this new behavior in the new published beta (2.0.4.r3429).
Also, this new beta can now load TMS (zipped) and MBTiles maps.

Actually the issue was only fixed on version 2.0.4 to 2.0.6 then the buggy behavior is back again.

I've a 20GB RMaps SQlitedb map, which takes many hours to open for the 1st time on new high spec mobile phone - octacore with plenty of RAM.

I cannot practically use any version newer than 2.0.6 due to this issue.

I love your app and recommend it for friends, but I really hope you solve this very annoying bug.
