A minor bug: files generated by MOBAC with empty name and extension .AQM (that is ".AQM" files from the point of view of the file system), later renamed to whatever name, generate a java error when I try to load the renamed file from within AlpineQuest.
The same map generated from exactly the same tiles with another (non-empty) name works just fine. I am pointing out this minor bug, because the empty name is the default in MOBAC (1.9 pre 13), hence some people may stumble upon the error.
Thanks for the great app. It is not only good looking app but also a very fast app in terms of rendering of maps.

Re: Null pointer exception when loading maps
Hi,
Thanks a lot for this clear report.
I have been able to reproduce the problem and fix it. This case was clearly not supported in AlpineQuest. The fix will be available in next release soon.
Best regards and thanks again.

You are welcome Thanks for paying attention to the problem.
I found out something potentially more important. I will describe it in a separate topic.
