Re: AQX to define zoom levels in groups of local files
Thanks, I ended up putting a single white tile in my mbtiles at level 16, I should have put a transparent png instead but it works ok.
I didn't think of the Google maps workaround, but isn't it wasteful to download all these tiles? Ot does AQ have "smart" occlusion or transparency handling?

Re: Minimum zoom to display placemarks
it's great to have all these settings (PS: the dyn_scale one does not seem documented yet)
is this number (10) configurable as well by chance? I believe a value around 13 would be ideal for me. thanks!all items are reduced in size under level 10

Re: AQX to define zoom levels in groups of local files
Hello, I also use mbtiles split by area/zoom and it works mostly very well, except 2 issues: Would it be possible to *not* display an overzoom of a top layer on a bottom layer which has the exact zoom ? Right now I have a "zoom 6 to 8" map on top of a "zoom 9 to 16" map, for zoom...

More map on screen
Hello, I would like more map on screen. "Hide status bar" and "Hide navigation bar" is not good for me, it does this: Screenshot_20221128-183923_AlpineQuest Off-Road Explorer.jpg * There is still a black bar at the top (because of the cutout of the in-display selfie camera) * I d...

Re: Android 12, folders, backup and migration
My mistake was thinking that Samsung's built-in My Files would have the support you mention, but despite several complaints on the Samsung forum it's not the case.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Android 12, folders, backup and migration
Update : I was finally able to transfer the data successfully thanks to the workaround in your link Managing files in the "Android/data" folder on Android 11 (without root or USB) -- namely, using the special Files app that can access /data for some hackish reason. Still I maintain that t...

Android 12, folders, backup and migration
Hello, I just changed Android phone (Samsung S20FE Android 12 -> S21 Ultra Android 12) and would like to retrieve all landmarks, settings, custom on-demand maps, and "favorite maps & sets". (offline map files out-of-scope). The current status is that AlpineQuest is re-installed by the ...

Strange up/downscaling behaviour
With my tests with an mbtiles overlay layer, AlpineQuest automatically up/downscales layers by up to 2 zoom-levels. This is a great feature, but it seems to happen only outside the zoom range. E.g. if I have a file with zoom 14 and 16, I will get 12 13 17 18 "for free" but 15 will be missi...

Hello,
Indeed, favorites help. Thanks!
I also created the alpinequest folder (from alpinequest's map explorer ) and it appeared. Good enough for next year at least

[closed] No file-based map storage access on Android 11
There is a small usability issue on Android 11 for custom file-based maps, linked to the Storage API restrictions : 1. File Manager apps and PC (with phone as USB mass storage) can't access /Android/data/psyberia.alpinequest.full/maps folder anymore, so I can't copy map files in, (or copy all saved ...

DEM IGN OpenData
Bonjour, IGN a récemment ouvert l'accès DEM " RGE ALTI 5m " - D'après la doc : "You must use DEM files in the .HGT format (either 1201 or 3601 values per lines)" pour du 3'' / 1'' Est-ce qu'AlpineQuest pourrait supporter un autre format, plus précis? Par exemple un de ceux mentio...
