AlpineQuest & OfflineMaps

I have been using the track recorder for a few years and now it no longer works. It will start but stops recording points at random times. Location is not disabled in background.

I reinstalled the app on both of my phones and now the proximity alerts work.
When all else fails, reinstall I guess.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix the proximity alert not playing a sound on both my Samsung phones?
Is there a specific sound file that it plays? Perhaps I deleted it.

Update: The proximity alert does not work on my two Android phones running 2.0.8.
It appears to be a bug in the software.
