Thanks, it works however as I am sure you realise you end up with 1000s of WPs. The objective is a simpler gpx of less than 50 WP, at key points. This mean the Garmin autoroutes. No matter, I guess I will stick to exporting to memorymap on my pc and manually editting.

Before routable maps I would create a cycle route with wps just around the corner of each junction.

My Garmin GPS has a full screen compass mode where it points to the next waypoint in the route. Making even off road routes easy to follow

Would this a feature that could be implemented?

I have a CSV of UK coords and post codes.
Memory made is able to import it so it is possible to search and jump to a post code.

Is it possible to do this sort of thing in AQ?
