Geospatial pdf files

I was reading about a desktop map editing program I am thinking of buying, and this program can generate geospatial pdf files that, once it is imported into an app that can read this info, will allow you to see where you are on a pdf map file. The program I am looking at mentioned that the Avenza Ma...

Re: Best Desktop Apps for Analyzing Alpine Quest Files???

I use TopoFusion on my desktop to analyze and edit, etc. I have found it works very well. I have the paid-for version and really like it.

Re: Sharing Online

Thank you for the clarification. I hope to see a real time option in the future. IMO this is simply one of the best apps out there and a real time option to share current location with other users would make this perfect, but regardless, I appreciate the staggering amount of time and effort you have...

Sharing Online

I was reading in the post about suggested and finished features, and I see in the "finished" section, there is reference to this: Share current location online (by Stefano) avail. in 1.4.16 I apologize if I've missed it, but I did a search on the website help pages and I cannot find an exp...

[closed] Editing a Recorded Track?

Hello, I recently was exploring an area and was tracking our route We wondered down a wrong way, backtracked, found a better way and continued on. I would like to use this track again as a guide later, however, I'd rather not have the small section we decided we didn't like and don't want to use, on...

Re: Auto Caching Map?

Thank you, everyone, for all the great info! I do always keep a backup of things that are important to me, and I have a folder on my SD card for all of my trips and Maps. :)

[closed] Auto Caching Map?

I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly that the app automatically caches maps you view in the app. Is this correct? To cache a map area to my app for offline use, I simply have to view the relevant area and zoom in and out to the levels I need and it is automatically saved to the...

Re: Is there an online account?

Thank you so much for your prompt replies. So wonderful to have a prompt and dedicated developer to answer questions. I've been trying out 7 or 8 apps of this nature, and two of them I've uninstalled because I could not get any support or questions answered. As for the rest, by far, this one is the ...

Re: Is there an online account?

Well, that is disappointing. Except for that ability, I think your app here is quite on par with TrimbleOutdoors Navigator Pro. I really like this app, and I do hope to see something of this nature in the future. For now, I will upload the .gpx files to my account at MyTopo and print out maps from t...

Is there an online account?

Hello, I recently bought the paid for version of AlpineQuest, and I saw some (rather vague) references to an online account associated with this app? Is that correct? If so, how do I access that? I have looked under "landmarks" and then "explore landmarks) and then "online landma...
